New Delhi. The country’s leading carmaker Tata Motors has launched a new Safari Gold Edition on Friday. The company has claimed that the Gold Edition has been designed keeping in mind the high class and hi-tech features. Tata Motors announced that the Safari Gold Edition is the official car of the Indian Premier League which recently relaunched in the UAE and Oman. If you watch cricket, then you must have seen this SUV in the cricket ground. So, here’s what’s new in the Tata Safari Gold Edition.
Tata Safari Gold Edition Exterior Updates – Safari Gold Edition comes in two exterior color options. Tata Motors calls it Black Gold and White Gold. However, the new thing is that the white colored Safari has been introduced in a dual-tone color theme and its roof is black. However, both the versions get a front grille which has now been painted gold.
This golden color extends to the borderline of the head light units as well. There is a gold badge on the sides and the color scheme extends to the dash as well as ‘Safari’ lettering on the roof rail and the Tata Motors logo at the rear. Golden streaks have also been given on all the four door handles. There are no feature updates on the Gold Edition, although both the cars get black alloy wheels.
Tata Safari Gold Edition Cabin Update – The interior of the White Gold Safari Edition has a mount blank marble finish dashboard, which has been given white color. It tries to add an upmarket feel to the inside of the SUV, though some people have pointed out that it looks like a kitchen counter top.
Similarly, the Black Safari Gold Edition gets a black marble layout on the dashboard, while both the trims get a golden shade on the side air vents, border paneling of the driver display unit and the inside door handles.
Tata Safari Gold Edition Feature Update – The Safari Gold Edition gets a cabin that now gets an air purification system, wireless support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated seats and wireless phone charging.
Note that Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, air purifier, wireless charger and wireless support are now available on the XZ including the Adventure Edition, while the air purifier has also been made available in the XT, XT+ and XTA+ trims.
Tata Safari Gold Edition price and other details – The Safari Gold Edition is available on the XZ+ and XZA+ variants, and can be bought in both six- and seven-seat layouts. It is also offered with both manual as well as automatic transmission options.
The manual Safari Gold Edition has been priced at Rs 21.89 lakh and the automatic one at Rs 23.17 lakh (ex-showroom). No changes have been made to the engine and dimensions of the car
